Hi, I’m Ashley “Noelle” Richardson. My style of massage and bodywork is customized to support the structure and function of the body in a safe and comfortable way. My unique Trauma-informed model of care comes directly from my own experience with recovery from childhood-based traumatic injury of the chin, forearm, gut and foot, as well as from a kidney-donation surgery in 2008 that involved nerve damage and chronic pain that lasted 6 long years. I began my formal massage therapy training in 2003, but was deterred temporarily as I discovered a blind spot in the system for those with PTSD and CPTSD. In my opinion, there was a massive lack of awareness that childhood trauma could greatly shape the needs of a massage therapist in a learning setting and with their clients in the treatment setting. After trying two schools in my home base of Northern New Jersey, I felt there was a bigger picture I needed to tap into, and that’s when I discovered the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I began studying Health Coaching and felt totally aligned. And with new knowledge about how our mind, body and spirit is connected, I discovered the secret to healing my own trauma so I could help others do the same. When I felt fortified in my health, secured in my body and strong in my will, I acquired my certificate in Tennessee and finally began my professional work as a Licensed Massage Therapist. I have been working in the greater Nashville and Franklin community since 2019 and have never been happier. In 2021, my rescue dog Lloyd Patrick Fig came on-board as my resident sidekick. He provides welcome wags and soft snores in the treatment room at my practice. He’s a dream come true. As a Trauma-Informed LMT, I take your health goals, mindset and boundaries very seriously. I approach our work together with joy, integrity and mindfulness for your unique history.
